Western Division Standings

When I read that after tonight's sterling showing that FC Dallas trailed the Galaxy by four points with two games in hand, I decided to check it out at MLS. LA has played 19, and Dallas 17. But is it true that tonight's game counts? Are the guys really only four points back? Are they really two games back?

We are getting closer to it that's for sure. Ricketts maybe done for the year and that may open the door for us to take it but we have to keep up with them...............

It maybe because not everyone has played each other yet

Safe to say that VAN, CHI, TFC and NE are done so this all that matters at this point. Also safe to say that the LA is going to win SS............suck. Staying a in the top 3, Open Cup and CCL are all that matter now.

Don't give up yet. Galaxy may well lose a couple more games and we could creep up and take it with some luck.

Contrary to my normal opinion, I don't think the Supporters' Shield is the important trophy to win this year. The important thing for me is CCL and getting back into CCL for next year. Sure SS is an automatic berth, but we're only 2 games away from doing it via USOC, and of course winning MLS Cup is the best way.

So while I do think SS is the biggest measure of a team's performance, I'm not particularly bothered if we don't win it this year.
