Uh...oh :-(

How does this effect plans? Count on Red Shamrock to be present no matter what!

Should we move it to our normal tailgate spot?

We were told we could tailgate in our regular 24 hour tailgate spot. We'll follow up with the FO to confirm now that this tournament is there.

Wow, this tournament definitely could be a problem! I am ok with moving to the south end of the blue parking tho'! We have a lot more room over there and I believe we can get a couple of mobile toilets set up for the overnight portion. Things could get real crowded at the Dr Pink field if there is a youth tournament present!

We've tailgated at Dr Pink during youth tournaments before with no problem. The FO was aware of the tournament well before they agreed to us tailgating there again this year, so I don't believe there should be any issues. There is plenty of parking in the Gold lot for both taligaters and tournament parents.

Well then, let's do it! I don't have the experience that y'all have with that parking lot. I guess I had better get there real early to guarantee I have that front row for the RV parking. I will park there on Friday afternoon if necessary to get the spot. After looking at the tournament information I agree with Rex Kramer that there will not be a problem. All the activities for the showcase are occuring on the fields up north (6 & 7) I am still going to plan on parking the RV on Friday afternoon to guarantee the location.

The tournament starts Friday.

We've brought up our concerns with Kats, and he's made assurances that everything will be okay for us (the tournament organizers are people the FCDFO has worked with before).

We'll make sure to keep a bug in his ear such that our concerns won't be forgotten or ignored.

Warren, can you contact the leaders of the other supporters group and set up a meeting to discuss the 24-hour tailgate?

I am waiting to hear what sort of food you all are planning. There are tentative plans to fry a turkey on Sunday afternoon. I was thinking about doing some sort of breakfast tacos for the early morning/overnight crowd on Sunday morning. Saturday night will probably be just burgers and hotdogs along with chips. Of course drinks are up to the individual but I will have the big cooler full of ice to keep things chilly! Let me know! I would love to attend the meeting if it happens!

Thanks!
Scott

I believe hamburgers and hotdogs will be provided so you don't need to do that.

Jon and I are also donating a keg to the 24-hour festivities. We'll put out a bucket for donations and use any monies collected to purchase beer (??) for the next tailgate.

I could sleep for a week and still have to sneak off for an hour or three more in the middle of the 24-hour tailgate. That, or I'll just pitch the tent in the blue lot so that I can escape the complete insanity that will no doubt break out in the middle of the night outside of Dr. Pink.

I mean to have as full a good time as I can, though. I close the sale of my house on the 23rd, and that frees me up to bid back to United Airlines. That will mean that I'll be seeing FC Dallas in San Jose, Washington D.C, or Chicago, but my days of Infernity at every home game are coming to an end.

Days of Infernity... I think I'll write a book. No, I can't, because I'm already writing a book. I think I'll add some soccer to the outline, though, or mod' my character profiles so that at least one of them has played the game. I think that will have to do, since my story's set at sea.

SMOOOOKE! (I'm a smoke Hitlerite, my being completely crazy for it). SMOOOOKE!

Sounds like everything is in motion. I'm going to try to talk to the media about coming down to film a story about the 24hr tailgate.

Thanks to John Redding, we'll have two kegs for the tailgate. We'll have a Live Oak Hefeweizen and a Bud Light.
