I've been hearing rumors all day about George. I hope he stays but, C.R.E.A.M

What can we do to express our displeasure with Blackburn's untimely offer?

There really isn't anything we can do Jagle. What we CAN do is support the team louder than we have ever done before today. The team has created history by being the first to win on Mexican soil, so let's concentrate on celebrating their successes and driving them to even more.

According to MLS, George John is in England at present getting a physical with Blackburn Rovers. No confirmation yet from FCD.

Major League Soccer and Blackburn have agreed to terms on a transfer for defender George John, clearing a major hurdle in the young centerback's potential move to the English Premier League. John is heading to Greece today to secure his passport and once he has his passport he will be a step closer to a transfer to Blackburn, sources told FOX Soccer on Monday.

If I wasn't at work, I'd totally be crying right now. I was already crying about it (literally) on Saturday so I'm sure I'll be very sad about this later.

I just registered on the Blackburn boards and they are talking George up quite a bit. I am waiting for an admin to authenticate me, then I will be able to post some of what they are saying.

I just want to win. There has to be someone that can bear up in his place. How far away from being ready to play is Edson?

He's out for the season and the only reason he's still on the roster is because you can't cut injured players.

As a team we're screwed unless we bring in another back, just look at how we played on Sat

No kidding.
Well, all we can do is keep up our support. Maybe before the youngest of us die, MLS will achieve something of economic parity with the robber barons of the world and we'll quit losing guys we need. Pisses me off this happened right as Cowlishaw wrote Brek up on the front page of the sports section.
Crap. We couldn't be hurt much worse if Hartman was gone.
Blackburn boss Steve Kean has hailed George John as he closes on signing the FC Dallas centre-back.
Rovers look set to pay a fee for [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] of around £1.2million to the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] who hold the player's contract.

Step back and take a breath.
We thought the season went down the toilet when DF10 went down, it took a game or two, but the boys pulled the boot straps up and went to work.

Feel bad for George but very happy for us. I still believe we will lose him after the season though. Either way, I am sure he will have a much more than $42.000 a year salary in 2012. He may even get rid of that mini-van LOL!
FCD President Doug Quinn wrote:
"Despite mutual interest, Blackburn Rovers and George John have decided not to enter into a contract. Blackburn had significant interest in acquiring George; however, for the time being, they decided not to finalize the deal. We are excited to have a player of George's caliber back at FC Dallas."

Thank God in Heaven. I want a star over our crest, Georgie. Go get it, and on the way up your price with the Rovers.
What a good deal all the way around!

He solidified the back line immediately when he was subbed in at halftime of the Open Cup semifinal.
The combination of Ugo-Jacobson isn't bad, but GJ is such a BEAST. He turns away everything that comes his way, whether on the ground or through the air.

John is a big (6-3, 203 pounds), strong, central defender who routinely overpowers M.L.S. attackers and is eligible to play internationally for a second country (Greece). [He has been a mainstay] in the top 10 of the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], M.L.S.’s official performance-rating service. And [he has] been under-used by the U.S. national team.John, 24, made a splash this summer when [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] during the summer transfer period. The move fell apart during negotiations, but the interest from abroad raised John’s profile, and deservedly so. John has a polished and versatile game, as [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] showcases. It would be great to see [George John playing alongside Omar Gonzalez] against Honduras and/or Ecuador — it is never too early to start developing backline chemistry.
