Kickoff for the game is 8:00 pm so official tailgate start time is 5:00 pm.
There's a group of around 50 folks from Seattle that will be down for the game so the FO is springing for a keg for us to host them with. The FO will provide ice and can to chill the keg in. Anyone willing to help pick up the keg and bring it to the tailgate? (I'd appreciate it so I didn't have to make an early or additional trek to that side of the 'Plex.
I've got a 20 pack of jumbo hot dogs in the freezer to bring for seeding the food. I'll pick up some buns as well.
I'll likely pick up some additional hot dogs as well.
Brenda - Did you have condiments left over from the Luau? I've got some ketchup and mustard I can bring along as well.
I've also got the shareable cooler that I'll seed with some starter water and ice. If folks want to bring some other beverages for sharing they're more than welcome to drop them off in the cooler.
Did we need a bag of charcoal or was there still one left over from the Luau as well?

After reading the ECS forum they are all jacked up for saturday. Well except for the heat. It should be a good one. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Thanks to Ken for volunteering to pick up the keg of tasty adult beverage for the tailgate tomorrow (and doing the pricing research for me since I wasn't at a computer).

You just can't miss this game as it is one of the season's biggest match-ups.

Would be nice if whoever took my tent at the last regular home game could bring it to the tailgate.

That was yours? The group next to us thought it was desserted and packed it up to prevent it from being stolen. They said they were going to bring it today, so you will have it back.

Get out both bongos, then? Andre thinks the heads have had it on the red and white drum. And what about the smoke machine? Do we have the consumable stuff for it? I did ask about it back on Monday.

Bless it. Would the right person please respond to this thread. We must make smoke tonight. What do we need, soapy water?
Owner says "Don't even think about it?"

You did? A little thing called work stopped us from answerring LOL! The machine has not been out because the electric outlet we have used is not working. It has not been working since the last concert at PHP and the next closest is about a mile away with no way of running a cord that far.
We have brought this to FCD's attention, and as soon as it is rectified there will be smoke. In the meantime, we ALL need to chant louder and harder for the team and it is as simple as that.
And before anyone suggests it... if just one smoke bomb is lit in the machine's absence, I will personally walk the culprit to security and have them escorted out of the stadium... NO EXCEPTIONS.

All right. Who was it that was so sure that Cruz wasn't going to wind up sent off? Hell, none of the new guys should be playing yet. Hall played eight feet off the ball, where the same attacker would have been wearing Zach like flypaper. As for Zach, he can't play John's spot. Not yet. Let's hope he learns real fast.
This season's rapidly taking a dump.

Canadian rookie referee David Gantar is a freakin a-hole. He spent the whole night with his head up his ass and deserves to be among the MLS's worst rated refs. The yellow and following red was absolute BS and anyone with a DVR can see it for themselves. This is four weeks in a row that bad officiating has taken points from us and tonight it really cost us the race for the Supporters Shield.
I HATE YOU DAVID GANTAR.... I HATE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART!!!!! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

This was a rancid game tonight. The team looked tired and officiating was awful. You are right... it was not a dive from Cruz and that ref should be sent back to high school.

I agree - even if we had ended up winning, the ref was so whistle happy it took away from the game. Just a poor standard of referee'ing. Not good enough for an improving league.

To make this post all about me -- it was good to lead chants for ten minutes before returning back to the Daddy Daycare section.
I'll have to be in front row a lot more often

The Daddy Daycare section is overrated anyways

Im an absolute nub as far as MLS goes and even I thought many of the calls appeared suspect. I heard something that I felt was fitting,
"The ref eats babies!"

Lol. The ref eats babies came from my group (Travis, Warren, Harlan, Janice, Lisa, Jon...). Made me laugh.

ALWAYS good for a dead baby joke. I watched the match again yesterday. The foul on Cruz made me scream in outrage. However I was very impresed with Hall, the force is strong with him.
