Hate to point this out, but this doesn't mean he is definately gone. If nobody picks him up, FCD has the option to negotiate a new contract for a whole lot less than he is getting now. As a secondary striker (with a new Top Class Striker needing to be purchased) he could prove a servicable backup.

Yeah but do you think we risk him going away if he's in the plans for next year?

I am sure it is a risk, but his performance was not stellar. Therefore I think FCD will be looking for a forward to be the main strike partner for a hopefully fit and returning David #10. I truly believe it is a decision based on salary cap and the $125k Santos gets was not money well spent in 2011 and is not what Schellas and Co. want to do again in 2012.

I wonder of they will look into using the partnership with CAP or Tigre to find a striker. Either that or unleash Cast.

Personally i think we'll be fine with Luna and using our 1st round draft pick on a Striker. This team currently is lack in depth, if brek or Chavez go down we dont really have a servicable replacement
