TAILGATE: FC Dallas vs Union 05/14/2011

This didn't make it over, so I'm bringing it up again.

Instead of the standard tailgate, I am suggesting that we attend the North Texas Beer Festival. http://www.northtexasbeerfestival.com

Festival starts at 1pm. That gives 4-5 hours to redeem the 12 2oz. tastes, maybe acquire another whole beer or two, and still get to the Oven in time to march.

Tickets are $30 if you order in advance. Entering code NTHBA in the discount code area gets them down to $25 apiece.

And for pre-Festival eats: The In-n-Out in Allen opens Wednesday

I wish I was here for this "pre-game" but I will be travelling bsack from Houston and will be struggling to get there in time for the March.

I really think the festival is a fantastic idea and would have loved to have gone.
You can tailgate any week, but 1000 beer choices come only a couple times per year...plus I hear that FCD is sponsoring the festival.

I'd love to make it out to the beer festival as well. But I won't be freed up to head up towards the stadium until around 3 pm at the earliest. So I'll just be headed up to PHP and tailgate there.

I'm another one who'll be coming to the game from work. I've something like 68 hours of paid time off left to play with through October the 6th. I must save as much of that modest balance as I can for FCD. I'd love to leave the weekend hours at work and return to a normal schedule, but I'm running from a supervisor who's soul is in flames. Guy's failed two marriages and fired 50 workers in three years. I mean, his soul is afire. And because I'm so easy to get along with, he doesn't like me, hence my inability to make tailgates, road trips and all other cool Inferno functions.

The festival sounds fun, though. You guys who are going be sure to wear your team colors.

Don't forget people... the Uncle Lamar March starts from the Londoner approximate 1 hour before kickoff. It's infernos way of paying tribute to a great man and we encourage all to join.

Last march was led by the Lady Wolverines from Wakeland and this march will be led by Dallas Icon Bobby Moffat. Show your support for fCD and hold your scarves high!

Sounds like my arrival will be between 4 - 4:30.

I'll be bringing a few hot dogs, my grill and a few drinks for sharing.
