Rise and Shine: The Jay DeMerit Story

If you haven't heard, there's been a documentary made about Jay DeMerit's adventure to start playing in the EPL.



The filmmakers are independent and don't have the money to get it into theaters on their own. So they've set up a Kickstarter to try to get fans to help fund the distribution of the final cut.

For those not familar with Kickstart, it's a way for people with project ideas to solicit contributions from individuals. Your pledge amount will only get charged if they meet the pledge goal. I've done this for a few other projects and haven't been gypped out of any money.

If you're interested, help bring a documentary about soccer to the big screen.

Jay Day with U.S. v Spain!!

U.S. takes on Spain in a rematch of the 2009 Confederations Cup semi-final that as you should remember, was won by the U.S. which ended Spain's 35 game unbeaten streak while they were #1 in the World. 1 year later in 2010, Spain becomes World Cup champions. Now our boys have a chance to go up another level and attempt to knock the big boys off again, but this time, we have the chance to beat the World champions!

In addition to watching the U.S. take on Spain in what will become a classic rematch, we also will be screening the new awesome documentary Rise and Shine that follows USMNT World Cup defender, Jay DeMerit's journey from the bottom of the English league system, to the Premier League, to the World Cup in South Africa.

Jay has been incredibly nice enough to sign a jersey for us to raffle off at the end of the U.S. game....yes, you read correctly, an autographed Jay DeMerit jersey will be up for grabs at the end of the U.S. v Spain game!!!!

So show up early, cheer on our boys in red, white, and blue, help make Rise and Shine: The Jay DeMerit story a reality, and you just might be the proud owner of an autographed Jay DeMerit jersey!!
