Newbie and the UEAF Empty
PostSubject: Newbie and the UEAF   Newbie and the UEAF Empty5/9/2011, 9:29 pm

Being a newbie with all the European Leagues I am confused. I like Celtic FC for a couple of reasons. I know they have never won a cup but I have always rooted for the underdog. Anyway back to my question..... It appears the UEFA has several leagues. The Champions league, Europa League and Euro 2012.

How often do the leagues play? Every year, every other year or what and when does the season start?

Champions League and the Europa(used to UEFA) Cup run every year. Euro *insert year* is every four years like the World Cup. The best way I remember it is two years before the next World Cup, my summer is going to be filled with a tournament. Like the World Cup, the location changes.

As for Celtic never winning a cup. Shocked They were the first team from the UK&Ireland to win the European Cup(Champions League) in 1967.

Thanks for clearing that up!! It appears that they play through the winter which surprises me. Am I correct that the Champions League starts around July 1st? Can I get the Champions League on Fox Soccer?
